“When I was in high school, I did an internship at Santa Ana College. I loved physical therapy. Helping people overcome injuries and perform better in sports and life was very appealing to me. “The variety of people I see and the excitement on their faces when they feel better is gratifying. Patients enjoy being educated about their bodies and empowered to take better care of themselves. I see myself as a catalyst for helping others. “Our center has built an excellent reputation among patients and referral sources. We’re known for achieving excellent outcomes. And we’ve treated many professional athletes. In fact, our younger patients and clients love knowing that they get the same care and treatment as the pro athletes.

“I enjoy analyzing a patient’s movement. Then I use my movement re-education skills to communicate with verbal and tactile cues and demonstration to help restore the patient’s normal movement patterns. I enjoy the daily interactions with my patients and the opportunity they give me to help them.”

Mind Fitness identifies and works through mental performance barriers that impede or interfere with your preparation, participation and performance associated with your athletic goals. Mental performance enhancement techniques will provide mind workouts that will help your mind and body to perform as one. What you think affects how you feel and perform. Training your brain is as important as training your body. Many athletes would admit that more than 70% of their performance depends on their mental outlook, yet most athletes spend little to no time training their mind. Mind Fitness assists the athlete’s mental game as it relates to their physical game. Mind Fitness helps athletes break through their mental performance barriers, allowing them to reach their full performance potential.
Talese Fernbach has a Masters of Sport Exercise Psychology (MASEP), specializing in social, performance and exercise psychology. She passionately assists athletes in breaking down mental barriers that impede their athletic performance. Talese has had extensive experience working with individual athletes, coaches, and teams at all levels in the field of sport psychology. She believes that everyone can limit their performance potential by what they think. What people believe, think or tell themselves is very powerful. Within our minds, there are words, thoughts and feelings that are like mental nutrition. We need that nutrition to be healthy, empowered, confident and compassionate. Sport psychology does not create talent, but helps to release it. Some of the methods used in sport psychology include: performance routines, cue statements, imagery, breathing exercises, deep muscle relaxation, cognitive restructuring techniques, building awareness, acceptance and commitment techniques, goal setting, perspective training and team building.
